On Children's Day, we conducted a variety of games, with approximately 360 children from the support class program actively participating in the event. In addition, the Akshar Handi Festival celebrated the day before where students participated in creating crowns. The Identity Foundation, through the book "Fairy’s," explained the importance of the Rakhi Purnima festival to the students. Following the explanation, the students engaged in crafting Rakhi’s using materials such as craft paper, cartoon stickers, woolen designs, and coloring pre-drawn Rakhi’s. As part of the celebration, they also tied the Rakhi’s to one another. Students from the Vasti area were also involved in the Rakhi-making activity. The students thoroughly enjoyed the process and participated enthusiastically in all the activities.

We selected 18 children’s from Devkar Vasti to participate in a daily football practice session in preparation for a tournament held in Wan wadi ,Pune. We had organised the "Teenage Girls Sessions" programme in a government school in Kharadi, Pune. We organised a workshop for 5th to 7th grade STD students. The teacher explained using a GTBT poster to the children, and then the teacher gave some instructions to the girls on how to handle their physical, mental health, and cleanliness of their bodies. We girls posed lots of questions in front of the sessionaires and they answered very generously to all girls. This was the most informative workshop for all teenage girls in schools and vasti.

Before the Diwali holidays, book fairies had taken over the Diwali activities. The Identity Foundation published the ‘Diwali Ank’ books for children. In this book, there were various activities. This gives children space to think about various activities and general knowledge. The children enjoyed and participated in all these activities enthusiastically.

We held "Diwali Celebration" events in Kalaninagar, Renuka Vasti, Chhati, Devakar Vasti, and Koregaon Park in Pune. Before the programme began, we conducted a Making of Diwali Greeting Cards, Lantern Making, and Coloring of Lightning Diya activity for children on behalf of the Diwali Festival. Also, the teachers explained to the children the disadvantages of burning firecrackers, which negatively impact on air pollution and noise pollution, and also that there is wastage of money on the purchase of fireworks. The Diwali festival should be celebrated eco-friendly. They enjoyed the workshop very much.

On occasion of Ganapati festival, various activities were carried out by the Identity Foundation on the occasion of Ganapati. The children were given shadu clay for making ganapati and colour them. On occasion of Independence Day children were asked to draw the national flag and colour them and send them on group. Also they were told the importance of that day and children’s also prepared songs on Independence Day and present them to their teachers. 677 children’s taken participated in this event.

Festival kit were distributed among 277 children’s from all vasti. Teachers had prepared the video and shared to children about how to colour rakhi, colour Ganapati, Mehendi cone for Nag Panchami festival, snacks prepared from craft paper. 12 students from 08th - 10th standard from vastis have attended online classes of Math’s. The online classes were taken on zoom, google meet, Mr. Sameer Pendse had taken the classes and students enjoyed and liked his teaching style. We have observed that every teacher ha to teach this children’s in their style, so that they can understand the syllabus easily.

As the corona vaccine started in Pune, we have noticed that misunderstanding and rumors spread about vaccine in the parents where organization was working in vastis. Hence, Organization had explained tem about the importance of the vaccination and also taught them how to book slots on government site for vaccination. Also vaccination was given to all staff of Identity Foundation.

In 2021 again the lockdown were declared the most of the parents was not having work in there hand and after the survey done, it was found that most of the parents are in need of ration kit. Hence, we had planned to distribute 536 ration kites to parents as per list taken by the staff. All parents were happy to get ration kit 2nd time in pandemic situation.

Identifying and writing down thoughts, recognizing emotions, behaving under control and out of control, the consequences of positive and negative emotions. Things under control and out of control and their acceptance. Happiness, expressed in the form of fun pictures. What is a goal? What is the need for it? Which should be. Steps to Achieving a Goal Drawing of the ‘I’ after achieving the goal. Time management, consistency, perseverance, etc. Discussed about. The children took various activities on self-identification, outside environment, stress, anger control, various actions were taken on self through art skills. The children got the new information about all these things. Around 17 children’s were present at the session.

Computer training was given to the children of Ashram school. Basic training of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Paint was given to the children. Children’s were taught who to use excel for solving Maths. Also children’s draw the Indian Flag in paint and colored the flag. Around 17 children’s were present at the computer class. Children’s enjoyed the computer class a lot.

With the help of google meet teachers have taught making of beautiful objects by folding Origami, craft papers, newspaper or simple white papers in a certain way and in a certain order. From one piece of paper you can create countless items like animals-birds, flowers-leaves, vehicles, boxes, masks. This activity was taken for age group of 3 to 8 years of children’s. These include moving objects, such as a flying frog, a flying bird, and a winged bird. Children’s enjoyed a lot.

Due to Covid-19 lockdown we have distributed stationery and worksheet to all children’s, so that the children’s should stay home and study, around 315 kit were distributed to all children’s. Teachers had made videos and audios about who to study on that worksheet. Parents were also involved in this work with teachers. Hence, all children’s were safe at home with doing their studies.

Teachers had made videos and audios of educational activity and used to send on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on all WhatsApp group made of all parents. Hence, the children’s can stay home safely and study. This activity was made for 3rd to 6th Std. children’s, parents also helped teachers to take the children’s in one place and try to teach children’s. Various activities were taken such as all type of transportations, drawing and coloring them, memorial games, stories, exercise taken.

Teachers had taken a session of celebrating the Dhulivandan Festival by teaching them to make natural colors from turmeric, coffee, tree leaves, and flowers at home. Children’s enjoyed making the natural colours and also explained the importance of this festival and told them to take precautions due to the COVID-19 situation. Teachers asked them to celebrate the festival in their house.

A world famous toy maker and popularizer of science, Arvind Gupta needs no introduction. The man has one mission: Make science as interesting, accessible, cost effective and creative for as many children in the world as possible. And with this selfless vision, he has lead one of the most successful and helpful educational endeavors in the world. Hence, to get the knowledge to all children’s, we have organized online programme about the scientific toys to all vasti under Reading Class Project. They had taken the various experiments and shown the scientific toys. All toys were made from waste material, which were easily available. They have explained what the scientific reason behind it & shown the children. The children were very happy and curious about this activity. We have done with making the video and audio of this class and after that shared to all WhatsApp group. The parents and children spontaneously participated in it.

A great way to use these Fruit Pictures is in your Nutrition lessons where you can show children what different kinds of fruits look like. You can use these fruits pictures for your displays or you could hand them out around the online class. You can ask children different questions about the fruits for example, if they have eaten it before and whether they liked or disliked it. You could get them to group which are their favourites and which ones are their least favourites. Also teachers gave children’s pictures of fruits to draw and colour it. On occasion of Christmas we had conducted online activity like making of greeting cards, drawing and coloring of Christmas tree. Teachers also explain the importance of Christmas festival. The children are most excited and waiting for this festival. Christmas is the biggest festival of Christians and is celebrated by people all over the world. The festival is celebrated with great happiness and joy. We had taken all this activity through online WhatsApp group at school and vasti. This was the new activity for children’s and their participation was very satisfactory. Parents also participated in this activity and helped their children’s.

Identity Foundation had distributed the Diwali kit on the occasion of the Diwali festival and the kits will be distributed to all children from our Mobile learning center. It looks forward to other such initiatives for igniting a spark of hope and happiness in the lives of the deprived and underprivileged segments of society. Diwali is a festival of joy and lights. It is more about the spirit of giving & spreading happiness than receiving. This Diwali let us all pledge to eliminate the darkness in the lives of these children and fill it with the light of joy and hope. We have planned to distribute the kit and it includes Diwali Snacks, Diwali Oil lamps, Lantern, and mask. All precautions were taken as per rules of COVID 19 by staff while distribution was done. Children’s were very happy after getting the kit.

All students actively participated in an activity like oil lamp making, lantern making, Diwali greetings card making, Rangoli making, and also information about the Diwali festival.

On the occasion of the Ganapati festival all children every child sent a video of how to make Ganapati from sand or wheat flour, and also decoration was made by children for the Ganapati festival. Some students had made Ganapati from sand and some were made from wheat flour. They enjoyed a lot.

When the Lockdown ended in May’2020, In the earlier stages of the COVID pandemic situation when we were in this vastis after some opening of lockdown many families need support as the jobs were not started and now they don’t have any help from the government or the other institutions. So food grains kits were donated by the Identity Foundation. The food distribution organizations interacted with the individual people, taking into account their experiences and putting aside their shortcomings, and trying to get the food to the people in the right way. The people were very happy after getting this food kit.

Due to lockdown, all schools were closed, so firstly teachers were given training about how to take online classes with help of Zoom calls, Google meet. Also training such as, how to use excel on mobile, what care is to be taken while teaching online. After that, the WhatsApp group was created of all parents and Identity Foundation staff and then online classes were taken every day. All students were surprised to learn through the online method.

1) Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
2) Maintain at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
3) All staff members are advised not to travel by any kind of public transport if at all they have to move out of the house.
4) Cancelled / postponed all in-person meetings and activities till situation is under control by making maximum use of technology wherever possible.

What precautions should be taken in COVID 19 situations sessions were taken by Ecology Foundation’s worker Neha Pandit for children from Chunkhadi and devkarvasti. All children were very curious about this session.

We had organized the “Different competition ” programme in school. Different competitions were conducted for students like musical competition, picture reading competition, memory competition, story reading competition was taken. Students enjoyed this game a lot. Students used their creativity & imagination to explain the story. In this students were given the story books and asked to read story from the book in front of all students. In this competition their confidence level of reading skills were judged by the teachers.

We had arranged Khelghar activity for Jilhaparishad School at Saswad, total 245 children’s were present for the activity. They have enjoyed playing various activity. Khelgar is being implemented with the young children studying in 1st to 7th std. The main objective is to promote outdoor learning in order to train the tender minds in soft skills like imagination, critical thinking and questioning. Through Khelgar, the team tries to challenge the children and bring changes at an early stage of life. It is very useful for children’s to develop their skills in early age. The students enjoyed a lot.

We had conducted Chirstmas activities at school and vasti. Most of the children’s were only known about Santa, so the teacher gave the information that how & why the chirstmas festival is celebrated. In same books children’s of std. 1st & 2nd draw & colour the Christmas Tree. Students of std. 3rd & 4th they have decorated Christmas tree. This was the new activity for children’s and their participation was very satisfactory.

We had organized the “Child sexual abuse sessions” programme in government school kharadi, Pune. We organized the workshop on GTBT for 1st to 4th STD student. Teacher explained with GTBT Poster about what is GTBT to children then teachers gave some instructions to children about how to handle that particular situation. Now the children’s are aware about this condition and how to face the situation. We had experience more questions coming from Childers’s and we had satisfied their questions as per their age group. This was the most informative workshop.

We have organized program of DahiHandi for childerns, teachers explain the students the information about DahiHandi Festival at vasti and school. Students had celebrated the festival by breaking the handi. Parents also joined the festival with childerns in Vasti and enjoyed the festival.

We organized the event of Arvind Gupta Toys at all Vasti and began Reading Class project School . They had taken the various experiments rather scientific toys. Students gave their response to all those toys. All toy toys were made from waste material, which are also easily available. First of all we showed the toys to all children and explained them that how it works. Then they explained what is scientific reason behind it & finally they shown the children how we can make it from waste material.

Identity Foundation had arranged picnic for 22 children’s from Rajasthani vasti to Tathawade Garden, Agaakhaan Palace on 31.01.2019. Even the kids were amazed to see an equipped play area around with all the swings, see-saw etc. All the kids happily played and enjoyed all the activities in the game zone. After a fun packed day, the kids were served snacks.

We had arranged Khelghar activity for Devkar, kalyani, Rajasthani vasti total 64 children’s were present for the activity conducted on 31.01.2019. The 15 children’s from Devkar Vasti, Kalyani Nagar have attend the Pune’s biggest on the spot painting competition on 20th Jan.,2019 on Sunday at Sambhaji Park, Deccan, Pune & it was organised by India House Art Gallery. All children’s enjoyed the competition and have got the certificate.

On 22nd Dec 2018 in Pune corporation school (Kasturba Gandhi School, Koregao Park Pune) Identity Foundation took a story telling event. The person named Mr. Santosh Gaikwad were called for the event to present the event. At the event the school principle Mr. Changdeo Bichkule, Mr. Abhijit Bendgiri & staff of Identity Foundation was present. The students from 1st std. To 7th std. were present at the event & they enjoyed a lot. At the same time the children’s had made New Year Greeting Cards and gave it to the guest with their good wishes.

Ltd. and the inauguration is done on 17th Dec 2018 at Kharadi, Pune with the presence of Identity Foundation Trustee Mrs.Sangita Shinde, Mr. Sachin Kulkarni & from Tieto Mr. Nilesh Sahasrabudhe and other members of Tieto. Identity Foundation is very thankful of Tieto India Pvt. Ltd. for such a great help for children’s to educate them.

We arranged Sport Day Activities in Koregoan Park School for the students .Games such as Running, Lemon Spoon, Musical Things etc. Children enjoyed and participated in all these activities enthusiastically. Then we have distributed prices to all childerns & troffies (3 troffes per vasti) to the winners and also lunch was arranged for all children’s. The following vasti was participated :- Devkar Vasti, Kallyninagar Vasti, Renuka Vasti, Chunkhadi Vasti, Rajsthani Vasti, Ikione volunteers participated & all staff of Identity Foundation.

We have arranged to take students of devkar vasti to attend different types of stone exhibition. Total 20 students were there to see the exhibition. Childerns were very curious to see the exhibition. They asked question to teachers and the coordinator of exhibition.

   1. Do not burst fire crackers near residential area.
   2. Wear cotton cloths while bursting fire crackers & if you cloths catches fire then do not run but use stop fall & roll technique.
   3. Burst fire crackers under supervision of any elder person.
   4. Keep a bucket of water or sand with you during this event.
   5. Do not put butter, potato, masala etc. you u get burn. Instead of this put your hand below tap water for 10 minutes.

Pune Darshan Trip was organized by Identity Foundation for students of Sanjay Park, chunkhadi vasti, Devakar vasti, kalyani nagar, Renuka Vasti. This trip was organized during 19.4.16 to 26.4.16 where total 201 students participated in this trip. Pataleshwar, Balgandharva, Shaniwar Wada, Sambhaji park Omkareshwar, kesriwada, Lal Mahal kamla Neharu park, are the few places where we visited in Pune Darshan Trip.

During 17.4.16 to 21.4.16 IF organized movie show for students from Devkar vasti, Chunkhadi Vasti where total 260 students enjoyed the vasious movies like Bal Shivaji , Chintu-2, Bhidu, Sham chi Shala.

Students visited Fire Brigade exhibition at Sambhaji park where fire fighters showed fire hoses, rescue equipment, explained about the fire suite and life saving equipment which is used by them for their team safety. Also explained about the incidents related to the cooking gas explosion.

Identity foundation organized Khelghar at Mahila Seva Gram organization. Teachers from IF visited the organization and set up Khelghar in one of the class room and Started playing various games in groups. There were games like puzzle, pyramid game, skipping rope, etc.

Khelghar means a bundle of games prepared specially for children by teachers. So they use their energy, enthusiasm and they enjoyed team games. The children enjoyed the Khelghar alot. Teachers used various types of things to plan khelghar activity. It includes Indoor as well as Outdoor games. Indoor games like, puzzle solving, games with toys etc. Outdoor games like, ‘Wara Sutla Vadal Zale’ , ’Dori udi’, Cat & mouse, throw Ball in Bucket, musical chair etc. Teacher has taken Khelghar project in the Bus. We have organized multiple visits like Visit to Shoe Maker, Floweriest, Black Smith and Aga Khan Palace. Children enjoyed a lot to visit these places.

This was a first trip to those students as they expressed their feeling –“we never been to any garden till date but today due to your organization we were able to visit a garden.” The Students and their parents were very happy because of this visit. We have taken the permission of Yerwada Post office for children exposure visit. Post Man and Post Master started giving the information to the children. First of all she was shown the post office and its various sections like courier, speed post, Post letter box. She also shown post tickets, post cards, International letter. Students learned about how post office works. It includes all letters, money orders and various types of investments schemes. Students actually experienced the working by sending one post card to Identity office.

We have organized a visit in a Rajiv Gandhi Hospital. Here, students learned about hospital rules as well as working style. Students met all staff of the hospital. Doctors and nurses explained about first aid and how to prevent themselves from injury. The main aim behind this was to make the students aware about importance and its necessity in day to day life.

The main motive behind this activity is to explain scientific experiments to students. For this activity the material that teachers used is spring and spring operated toys to explain Gravitational force. We have organized a visit to Prati Shirdi at Shirgaon, Pune. Students observed the artistic carvings on the temple walls.

We prepared various games and examples through which the students can understand the concept of Fire and safety in a very easy way.  Now the actual working with students was started by taking sessions in morning and afternoon. Few schools were conducted in one campus only; hence class teachers and principals were able to attend maximum sessions in that campus. The Session was started with pre-test regarding Fire and Safety. Our teachers started distributing the education material to the students as per sessions. As the material was colorful and in big font so that students got attracted towords the Kit. As students were given with some homework they started telling about the session and kit to their home. Drawing - My Safe Home (preventing falling, fire etc.) kids did this with very dedicatedly and they explained it in a very excellent manner by way of drawing. Students were very good in finding the dangers of electrical instruments in the sheet. After pre-test, teachers conducted the post-test and the results were too good as there were growth in marks in post-test which was an indication that the sessions were successful and the information was properly reached to the students. They were able to absorb the knowledge given in these sessions. The Principal and Class teachers were so happy that students have started demanding more of such sessions to be conducted in the school frequently.

We organized the workshop on Child sexual abuse at two Privet School for students of 5th to 7th Std. The Coordinator of Step up Foundation was conducted this workshop. She explained with CSA poster about what is child sexual abuse, to children. Then she also gave tips to children about how to handle that particular situation and to whom we can told about this problem. After that she told some precautions to children. This is the most informative workshop.

1. We have arranged Story Reading Competition for the students of 4th std. In this competition students were given the story books and asked to read story from the book in front of all students. In this competition their confidence level as well as reading skills were judged from their reading.

Ga Ma Bha Na is a publication house and it also works for children development. Ga Ma Bha Na is publishing a calendar on which they put children’s drawing. This activity were conducted at both in support classes and in school also. After that they have organized exhibition of all drawing at Balgandharw Art Gallery. This exhibition was open for all. Our children became very happy to see their drawing in a well-known exhibition.

The Christmas Party was organized by Lokmat Publication ( Lokmat Parivar).  For this event they invited our children. Our Support class children attended this Party. First of all they were took some coloring papers for Color with children. Our children become very happy to see their drawing.  After that Santa clause came there. Pahat program (Swar Chaitanya) organized by Lokmat News Pvt. Ltd.  at Krishna Sundar Garden this was a musical program and the students enjoyed a lot . The program was started at 7 am and got finished at 9 am the students were so excited that, they were ready by 6 am to go to the program place. In Ganesh Festival, one of the attractive thing is decoration done by various Mandals. Identity Foundation has organized a visit to Ganpati Mandals in Pune city area like Kasba Ganpati, Dagdusheth, Grahak Peth Ganpati etc. This visit helped children to get information about pune area as well as many types of decoration done by Mandals. On the occasion of Dahi Handi Utsav, our teachers explained the information about Dahi Handi Festival to students. Students decorated the DahiHandi and prepared Crowns out of news papers. Students from 1st Std. have celebrated the festival by breaking the Dahi Handi in School and students from 1st to 7th Std. celebrated the festival at Vasti. Children enjoyed and participated in all these activities enthusiastically.

On the occasion of Independence Day, teachers arranged a workshop of Indian National flag making for school students. In this workshop teachers explained the importance of our National flag. 1st and 2nd Std. students painted flags with their little thumb as well as 3rd and 4th Std. students painted the national flag on paper. E-learning system was conducted in 5 schools of the project area by Identity foundation, as per opinion by Higher authorities of these schools this system will be very effective. It is useful and enjoyed for their students to understand the syllabus in easy way. It will help them to improve their interest in study as well as their academic performance. This system will help teachers to teach their topic in simplest way. These schools scheduled Academic time table for E learning classes. They are maintaining a proper log register of E-Learning Class.

In starting of June children enrolment process started from Construction sites to PMC Schools. Identity Foundation was exploring various options to ensure that children are able to reach school safe and well. Around 110 children have utilized the Buses so far at 3 Municipal schools in Lokmanya TIlak Primary School No.49, Ramwadi No.59, Pune and Kasturba Gandhi Primary school, Koregaon Park areas. This facility is running in 2 shifts. In these 2 shifts teachers teach to students. Now there is excellent co-operation between teachers and bus drivers.

The children were taken to movie hall to enjoy cinemas.  The top 5 movies viewed by children, were “I am Kalam”, “Chirry Tale”, “Chote Miya”, “Ice Age”, and  “Karamati Coat”. The cinemas were for children age 8-12 years and were of duration 1-1/2 hours.  Children had much fun in this cinemas. On those days teacher took discussion session with the children about cinema. Teacher has taken children to the cinema in the bus.

We organized the event of Arvind Gupta Toys at all Vastis.  The children were shown scientific toys and what various experiments could be conducted. All toys were made from waste material, which are easily available. The children were explained what is scientific reason behind it & were also shown how we can make them from waste material. Students gave good response to all those toys They were also given some material like straw to make a PIPANI (Flute) out of it, also learn to make the Paper cap and make Bhingri out of Compact Disk.

We conducted the Khelghar activity for children which they thoroughly enjoyed. The Khelghar has lot of playing instruments so children have much fun in this activity. Our teacher had conducted Khelghar activity in the Bus. Due to various new games, puzzles, other toys children got new experience in the Bus.  Outdoor game were conducted in nearby Vasti like ‘Wara Sutla Vadal Zale’, ’Dori udi’, cat & mouse, throw ball in bucket, musical chairs, etc. . Identity foundation had organized a visit of Shivaji Nagar railway Station for the children. From this visit children got lot of information about the railway station. The children were asking various questions of the working of railway station and were very eager to know about the railway engine, station & passengers travelling etc. The children were very excited and happy after the visit.

We took permission of Shivaji Nagar Post office for children exposure visit to their post office. On that day teacher took a discussion session with the children about Post office. We arranged a trip of Pune Darshan. In this city tour the children get to visit several places of interest in Pune city like Kesari Wada, Vishrambaug Wada, Shaniwar Wada, Parvati Hill and Temples, Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Chaturshrungi Temple, Aga Khan Palace, Empress Garden, Snake Park, and Pataleshwar Cave Temple. Students enjoyed this trip as they got to visit interesting places, see animals and get important information about the city.
Kesari Wada is the home of Kesari newspaper started by Late Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Shaniwar Wada was the historic palace of the Peshwas. Vishrambaug Wada has a beautiful entrance with wooden carvings hosting a museum of historical glory with antique material. Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum is housed in a quaint Rajasthani style building. Chaturshrungi Temple attracts droves of devotees during the nine-day Navaratri festival. The Pataleshwar Cave Temple is a rock-cut cave temple, carved out in the Rashtrakuta period. Aga Khan Palace boasts of Italianate arches and spacious lawns, an unlikely place for a prison but the British interned Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Kasturba Gandhi here.

We arranged a trip to Empress Garden. It is a vast garden containing several varieties of trees having fruits and flowers. Named after the Queen of Victoria this garden was often used by the British soldiers as a recreational spot. The garden is a major source of entertainment and greenery. Children first did some bird watching and then roamed around the garden. They also played Slider, jungle gym, see-saw, swing, etc. in the playing area. After playing the children relaxed on the lawns and enjoyed the experience.

Identity foundation organized a mall visit of our support class’s children. The children got to see the interior of a mall with its various shops, escalators, and all types of people who were coming for shopping. Then the children visited various shops like the bag house selling various type of bags, jewelry shop, supermarket selling food grains, vegetable, and fruit market, etc. Children come to know what type of shops, material, and goods can be brought in the mall. The children asked various questions to the shopkeepers and were given more information about the Mall. The Mall had also organized Gammat Jatra for children having railway museum, magician games, fun games, etc. The children were very happy to visit the mall.

We visited Katraj Milk Dairy, to know more about how the dairy functions. The main plant of Katraj milk dairy is equipped with modern pasteurizer, homogenizer, cream separator, butter processing machines. It is also equipped with automatic packing of milk and milk products and other quality testing devices as well as equipped labs. We also saw how milk is processed along with other milk products. Children enjoyed the visit.

We organized the event of Arvind Gupta Toys at all school. We invited to Ashok Rupaner of IUCAA (Arvind Gupta Toys) and Swati Bhujbal. They had taken various experiments related to scientific toys. All toys were made from waste material, which are easily available. First of all they had shown all toys to children and then explained the scientific reason behind that toys and finally they had shown the children how they can make it from waste material.

Bhoi Pratishthan organized the Rang Barase program for underprivileged children. This program is conducted on the occasion of Rangpanchami. Our children of Devkar Vasti participated in this program. On that day Rang Barase program was started with flowers shower. Then various type of dry & chemical free color was used to play Holi. They provided snacks & Lunch to these children. All children enjoyed a lot.

Identity Foundation has organized the exposure visit to Quest (Quality Education Support trust), Maher and Vidnyan Ashram School. This visit is specially organized for all staff members of Identity Foundation. Quest is the organization which is working with Basic Languages and Mathematics.  They give us all information related to all teaching aids and simple ways to teach children.

Occasion of Republic Day, our fairy book has given Information about republic day. After that all children made “Tiranga” with their Thumb Impressions. Children were feeling very proud because Indian National flag was made by their thumb impressions. That flag fixed on classroom wall.

13th Jan 2015: Kite Flying Competition by Tieto

On the Occasion of Makar Sankrant, Tieto had organized a Kite Flying Competition. On that that occasion more than 60 Volunteer of Tieto had fun flying kites with our children. Children were divided into groups consisting of 2 volunteer & 2 children in each group. Our student Suersh Bhajantri won the competition among all volunteer & children. After that the students and volunteers also played various games like- Lagori, Langadi, Kabbaddi, etc. At the end prizes were given to winners and there was distribution of Teaching kit & Tilgul to all children. The children enjoyed this occasion very much.

A Christmas Party was organized by Lokmat Pvt. Ltd., a Marathi newspaper in Pune. For this event they had invited our children. Our Support class children attended this Party. In the party there were some fun games with children. The Lokmat Parivar also gave Sport shoes to all children.  The arrival of Santa Clause was great fun for the children as they had fun with him and Santa also gifted various gift, snacks to the all children.  All children enjoyed this party very enthusiastically & also were very happy for gifts given by Santa.

20th Dec 2014: Visit to science express

The Student visited Science express. Science express is a biodiversity special exhibition Train consisting of 11 coaches where people walk through viewing the exhibits and taking part in various activities. Students took this opportunity to view exhibits on Indian biodiversity and took part in learning activities.  The volunteers on this train exhibition explained information to the children.

This Biodiversity express was inaugurated by our Devkar Vasti’s children, Bhavana Takkalaki and Devraj Pujari along with other guests. All our children from Devkar Vasti were present at the inauguration.

11th Dec 2014: Visit to Khed Shivapur for Tarangan & Picnic at Baneshwar

Anusayabai Khilare School, No.55G visited Baneshwar temple and also played in the garden there. After that there was star gazing activity at Patehe farm. This activity was organized to help children in their education. Information was given about about star, group of stars, Nakshatra, satellites, Moon, Sun, Rashi etc. All children enjoyed this activity at Tarangan and picnic at Baneshwar.

Identity foundation and Arc organized the Manoranjan stall & show for children at Gandhi Bhavan. There were stalls like- Magic painting, puppet show, book stall, song & activity by Magic bus, Warlie painting on greeting, Art & craft, Snake & ladder, Pot maker, Garbage management, Information on community center, Hand wash etc. for the children to enjoy and learn. The children also got to see shows like Magic show, karate, Snake shoe, Andhashradha Nirmulan experiment & cinemas like- Pakada gaya & Charlin Chaplin which were enjoyed by all.

We visited Science Park with support class children. In the park various types of experiment & fun game modules are available for children related to science. The park has three sections: Automobile section, Energy section and Fun game section in which various scientific experiments are displayed. Every display has a specific fun & specific scientific reason behind it. At every section teacher explained the scientific reason behind all experiment, game etc. All children enjoyed the games.

30th Oct 2014: Visit at Blacksmith

Children had heard about blacksmiths but actually they don’t know anything about their work. So we decided to give a visit to blacksmith at their workplace and watch and learn how they operate their trade. Although hesitating at first he gave information about his work and trade.

30th Oct 2014: Visit at Potter

We have taken the children for a potter visit. The potter gave information to children about the process of making the pots from mud. There children remembered previous visit of potter where he had made various things from mud on wheel.  Children asked questions like-  how to make these things  pacca, how you deciding the prices of the all pots, how much profit you get from this, are you giving the training for making the pots? The potter gave all appropriate answer & information to the children.

29th Oct 2014: Visit at Petrol Pump

There is need to know the life skills for children. So we are conducting various exposures visit to different spots which are related to daily life. One such visit we organized to Bharat petrol pump near RTO. At the petrol pump, the salesman gave information to children such as how to set liter measurement in the pumping machine along with the amount. Then children asked various questions to the salesman like: How we can change the amount according to change in market rates, where the storage petrol tank of the machine is, how you come to know that petrol will finish from the tank & how you will refill it. All the answers were given by the salesman very sincerely & in detail. Thanks for Bharat petrol pump.

29th Oct 2014: Visit to Floweriest

Identity Foundation conducted a visit to floweriest to gather information related to his work. The floweriest showed how to make the flower bouquets. He also introduces us to the various flowers names, their smell, available colors, every flower life etc. Children asked some questions like where you got this training, and from where you brought the flowers. After that the floweriest gifted flowers to our all children.

29th Oct 2014: Exposure visit to Police Station

We had taken permission of Shashtri Nagar Police station for children exposure visit.
On that day teacher had taken discussion session with the children about Police & Police station before visiting. At the Police station, Constable Shaikh madam gave information to the children. She showed the ‘Main table’ of head constable, where they are writing the FIR, along with the wireless cell,  computer Room, duty room, payment Room, DSP cabin, and how they are keeping the data related to staff. She also shared information about crimes & criminal, and also history of criminals.
DSP Mr Sanjay Patil was also shared information with everybody. He showed various riffles, guns, bullet proof Dhal, bullet proof helmet, heal pad etc., used by police. The children were also given the equipment to check and handle.

From this visit the children got lot of information about police station. Finally staff f police station distributed chocolates to our children & the children also gifted flowers to staff on behalf of Identity foundation for giving important information to us.

29th Oct 2014: Visit to Agakhana Palace

We conducted a visit to Agakhana Palace of our children. Agakhana palace is now turned into a museum of Mahatma Gandhi.  There the children saw and learned various things related to Mahatma Gandhi like- Bapuji’s  & Kasturba’s statue, Kasturba’s Samadhi, chappals, charakha, & other things used by Gandhji  etc. Additional information was given by teachers about Mahatma Gandhi & Kasturba Gandhi. Children also enjoyed in the garden there playing various games like Khabbadi and other outdoor games.

28th Oct 2014: Visit to fort exhibition at Sambhaji park

Pune Gov .had organized fort exhibition at Sambhaji Park. Our all support classes children visited the exhibition. The fort exhibition had various famous forts’ model with their names displayed in front of them. The teachers gave information about the fort, where it is located and what specific event happened on that particular fort in history. The children were asking various questions on railway track module.

Diwali Activities

Our book fairies gave information, history, and purpose behind the celebration of Diwali. In this celebration book fairies took activities like coloring Panati, making greeting cards, making lanterns etc.  Throughout the year all students are eagerly waiting for this activity as they feel very happy & enjoy doing all these activity.

Diwali Ank

Before Diwali vacation, we have Diwali activities but during the vacation these children don’t have any particular activities to do at home. So identity foundation publishes the ‘Diwali Ank’ activity book for 1st to 4th standard children separately. In this book, there are various activities apart from their curriculum along with instruction about how to solve or complete it.

Swach Shala (Vidyalay) Abhiyan

Our Prime minster started ‘Swach Bharat Abiyan’ & also known as ‘Swach Shala (Vidyalay) Abhiman’ at school level. So our organization participated in this Abhiyan with the help of TMF Volunteer . In this programme our book fairy gave information about what is Swachata Abhiyan and how we can participate in it. She also was gave information about the advantages of cleanliness and disadvantages of dirtiness. After that she showed the ‘Hand Wash’ activity by using turmeric. Finally we are gave the ‘Swachata’ theme to children for drawing.  In this activity children drew various things to express their opinion about cleanliness eg. ‘Ola kachara – Suka Kachara’ , children & elder using dustbins, dirty child & clean child, clean & green Pune city etc.

Ga Ma Bha Na activity

Ga. Ma. Bha. Na. is a publication that also works with children. Ga. Ma. Bha. Na. publish calendars of children who do their drawing & coloring.  After that they organizing exhibition for all drawings at Balgandharw. This exhibition is open for all. In the exhibition our children become very happy to see their own drawing.

ART Therapy Training

Identity foundation is organizing various trainings for teaches for better implementation of planning. Manisha tai was the trainer for ART Therapy training .In this training, she explained the importance of ART very well through various activities. ART is the one of the important factor in our personality development. She explained scientifically how we are using only half of our brain and due to this how we can be suffering from depression. So by showing us various techniques she gave much more information about ART.

Language Training (Bhasha)

Identity foundation is organizing various trainings for teaches for better implementation of planning. Kavita Bhagwat was the trainer for Language training. In this training she explained to teachers how to start teaching alphabets, matras & composite letter. Also how to take various language games according to children competency level. Finally she gave information about grammar in short.

Group Discussion on ‘Save the water’

Now a day we are facing water problems, and to increase awareness among the children about this we organized group discussion on ‘Save the water’. First we gathered all the children of Devkar Vasti, Chunkhadi Vasahat, and Devkar Vasti at Indradhanushya Hall. There we showed some videos on Save WATER, discussed how water scarcity is a serious issue and informed children not to waste water. We also showed cuttings from newspaper related to water and discussion with children what they understood about it and to think on that. The teacher also gave information about available water resources, our water needs today, how we can save the water, and if we do not take any action on this then what will happen in the future.

Workshop on Child Sexual abuse

We organized a workshop on Child sexual abuse at Chunkhadi vasahat, Savitribai Phule Vasahat and Rajasthani Vasahat. The Coordinator of ARC conducted this workshop. She explained with CSA poster to children and parents what child sexual abuse is. Then she also gave tips to children about how to handle that particular situation and to whom we can tell about this problem. She also told about what precautions children and parents should take. After all this discussion we called up CHILD LINE & asked them to give information about their help line & how they can help children. In this workshop some latest example of Child sexual abuse were discussed. After this workshop our teachers observed that parents have become more careful towards their children.

Street play on child rights

The student of Sevadham trusth , enacted the street play on child rights at our Chunkhadi and Savitribai Phule Vasahat center. From that street play they wanted to spread the importance of child rights & parents behavior towards their children in various situations. The street play was watched by all parents and children and they came to know about their children’s right.

Lokmat Drawing competition

During Ganesh Utsav, Lokmat news publication organized a drawing competition as ‘Sakara Ganapatibappa ’ at our 3 centers Devkar Vasti, Chunkhadi and Savitribai Phule Vasahat children were participated in that activity.  Participating children drew the Ganapti and colored it.

Recognizing Food grains

Our book fairies are giving information to students other than their curriculum.  We are organizing some activities (not as a competition) with students like recognizing food grains. The students participated enthusiastically in this activity. They knew the name of the food but they were not able to recognize the particular food grain with its name. So accordingly the book fairy would give the information to all children about its color, size, how to use & its importance in our diet.

Essay competition

ARC is a campaign that works for Children Rights. This year ARC organized various activities on the behalf of completing 25 years of child rights in India.  So at all our support classes we organized an essay competition on ‘Child Rights’. Children knew about child rights and expressed their opinions in the essay even though they had limited knowledge of words to express them. This competition helped us to understand how much the children knew about Child rights.

Activities of Teachers Day

• On birthday occasion of Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan we celebrate Teachers day by taking the special activities with children for their teachers. On that day the book fairy explained the importance of teacher’s day and also gave information to all children about CHILD RIGHTS such as Right of Survival, Right of Protection, Right of Development and Right of Participation.

The book fairy then gave a greeting card to the children to color them as a Symbol of child right. After that all teachers and also Head Master were invited in class and given the greeting cards and flowers on behalf of children.

We conducted Parents meeting at our centers at Chunkhadi Vasahat & Devkar Vasti. This time the main agenda of our meeting was School Management Committee. During the meeting we shared information about School Management Committee, its importance, the working criteria of this committee and parents role in this committee. We also suggested to parents to become member of that committee in their own children school.

Eco Friendly Ganpati

In the Ganesh Utsav Festival various activities were taken by our book fairies, like explaining the history and importance of this festival, coloring Ganapati picture, drawing & coloring, making eco- friendly Ganapati  (using eco-friendly soil - Shadu Mati) etc.

Making Rakhi

The Activity of making Rakhi organized by our book fairies helped us to educate and give the message that we must give respect & take responsibility of security of each other. Due to this activity we are supposed to give exposure to children’s hobbies.

On the occasion of Independence Day the book fairies gave information about Independence Day, our National flag and also discussed the topic with children. Activity of coloring the National flag – Tiranga was also held. Due to this activity we are supposed to increase the national integrity among the children.

Our book fairies gave information, history, and purpose behind the celebration of Dahi handi. Also this activity helps us to increase the religious equality and integrity among all children. We plan such special activities of events for children according to festivals, where children enjoy & participate enthusiastically.
