17 Oct to 24 Oct 2024:Diwali Celebration" Events |
We arranged the “Diwali Celebration" events. In Vasti and at the Pune school. In support of the Diwali Festival. The activities included creating Diwali greeting cards, Wall Hanging, Lanterns, and Lightning Diya. We also distribute Diwali Faral to the children. Additionally, the teachers informed the kids about the harmful effects of burning firecrackers, including the waste of money associated with buying pyrotechnics and the negative effects they have on noise and air pollution. We organized an Eco-Friendly Ganesh program at Vasti and School. teachers explained the importance of the Ganesh festival and its tradition and yet ensuring that the environmental impact is not adverse. the children were thought how to protect the environment by making eco-friendly Ganesh idol. the students decorated Ganesh picture using colorful papers. 24 Aug 2024:Dahi Handi Festival |
The Identity Foundation, through the book "Fairy’s," explained the importance of the Dahi Handi Festival. In addition, the Akshar Handi Festival celebrated the day before where students participated in creating crowns. They also decorated Books Crafted Handi replicase and created, crowns using newspapers. The students actively participated and thoroughly enjoyed enthusiastically. 16 Aug 2024:Rakhi Pornima Festival |
The Identity Foundation, through the book "Fairy’s," explained the importance of the Rakhi Purnima festival to the students. Following the explanation, the students engaged in crafting Rakhi’s using materials such as craft paper, cartoon stickers, woolen designs, and coloring pre-drawn Rakhi’s. As part of the celebration, they also tied the Rakhi’s to one another. Students from the Vasti area were also involved in the Rakhi-making activity. We selected 18 children’s from Devkar Vasti to participate in a daily football practice session in preparation for a tournament held in Wan wadi ,Pune. All the children were encouraged to attend the match. Our Children support team worked to promote the Right to play initiative, fostering the development of football teams within their organization. 5 May 2024:Play Toy Activities (Khel Ghar) |
The MLIC Mobile centers are also serve as a resource for students as we provided a box of toys for them to use during their free time. These toys are available for children from other NGOs as well, and once they finish playing, they return the toys to box for next destination. We visited Science Park with Kalyani Nagar and Devakar Vasti children. Taken more information about various scientific equipment and games. The Science Centre houses Galleries on different themes of Science & Technology, Activity area, Inflatable Taramandal and an Auditorium. The Centre had conducted many Science shows such as 3D Shows, Taramandal Shows and Live Demonstrations. The children were very happy and curious about this activity. Children enjoyed the visit. |

A world-famous toy maker and popularizer of science, Arvind Gupta needs no introduction. The man has one mission: Make science as interesting, accessible, cost effective and creative for as many children in the world as possible. And with this selfless vision, he has lead one of the most successful and helpful educational endeavors in the world. Hence, to get the knowledge to all children, we have organized online programme about the scientific toys to all vasti under Reading Class Project. They had taken various experiments and shown scientific toys. All toys were made from waste material, which was easily available. They have explained what the scientific reason behind it & shown the children. The children were very happy and curious about this activity. We are done with making the video and audio of this class and after that shared it with all WhatsApp group. The parents and children spontaneously participated in it. Identity Foundation had taken children to various locations throughout Pune. We took them to Shaniwar Wada, Kesari Wada, Mahatama Fhule Wada, Gramme Sanskruti Udyan, Saras Baug, Empress Garden, Snake Park, Yeshwantrao Chowan Udayn, Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Phule Wada Bal Gandharv Mandir, and Fhule Wada Bal Gandharv Mandir. The reason for this is that the children should understand and be aware of the significance of the locations and their histories. This children's activity was implemented because children should be aware of Pune's history and should be able to visit these locations. The children were unfamiliar with the locations in Pune, but they learned about the outside environment and culture during the trip. Mr. Sefan Kerbs, a Tieto client, visited the Identity Foundation reading class vasti on February 21st, 2023. We have held kite flying competitions, lemon and spoon races, running races, and many other events. After the competition, we distributed prices and snacks to everyone. 04th January 2022: Teenage Girls Sessions |
We had organised the "Teenage Girls Sessions" programme in a government school in Kharadi, Pune. We organised a workshop for 5th to 7th grade STD students. The teacher explained using a GTBT poster to the children, and then the teacher gave some instructions to the girls on how to handle their physical, mental health, and cleanliness of their bodies. We girls posed lots of questions in front of the sessionaires and they answered very generously to all girls. This was the most informative workshop for all teenage girls in schools and vasti. We held "Diwali Celebration" events in Kalaninagar, Renuka Vasti, Chhati, Devakar Vasti, and Koregaon Park in Pune. Before the programme began, we conducted a Making of Diwali Greeting Cards, Lantern Making, and Coloring of Lightning Diya activity for children on behalf of the Diwali Festival. Also, the teachers explained to the children the disadvantages of burning firecrackers, which negatively impact on air pollution and noise pollution, and also that there is wastage of money on the purchase of fireworks. Things under control and out of control and their acceptance. Happiness, expressed in the form of fun pictures. What is a goal? What is the need for it? Which should be. Steps to Achieving a Goal Drawing of the ‘I’ after achieving the goal. Time management, consistency, perseverance, etc. Discussed about. A great way to use these Fruit Pictures is in your Nutrition lessons where you can show children what different kinds of fruits look like. You can use these fruits pictures for your displays or you could hand them out around the online class. Identity Foundation had distributed the Diwali kit on the occasion of the Diwali festival and the kits will be distributed to all children from our Mobile learning center. So food grains kits were donated by the Identity Foundation. The food distribution organizations interacted with the individual people, taking into account their experiences and putting aside their shortcomings, and trying to get the food to the people in the right way. We had arranged Khelghar activity for Jilhaparishad School at Saswad, total 245 children’s were present for the activity. They have enjoyed playing various activity. Khelgar is being implemented with the young children studying in 1st to 7th std. The main objective is to promote outdoor learning in order to train the tender minds in soft skills like imagination, critical thinking and questioning. Identity Foundation had arranged picnic for 22 children’s from Rajasthani vasti to Tathawade Garden, Agaakhaan Palace on 31.01.2019. Even the kids were amazed to see an equipped play area around with all the swings, see-saw etc. All the kids happily played and enjoyed all the activities in the game zone. After a fun packed day, the kids were served snacks. |

We had arranged Khelghar activity for Devkar, kalyani, Rajasthani vasti total 64 children’s were present for the activity conducted on 31.01.2019. They have enjoyed playing various activity.Khelgar is being implemented with the young children studying in 1st to 7th std. The main objective is to promote outdoor learning in order to train the tender minds in soft skills like imagination, critical thinking and questioning. Through Khelgar, the team tries to challenge the children and bring changes at an early stage of life. It is very useful for children’s to develop their skills in early age. 1st January to 31st January 2016: Fire and Safety awareness Campaign |
We prepared various games and examples through which the students can understand the concept of Fire and safety in a very easy way. Now the actual working with students was started by taking sessions in morning and afternoon. Few schools were conducted in one campus only; hence class teachers and principals were able to attend maximum sessions in that campus. The Session was started with pre-test regarding Fire and Safety. Our teachers started distributing the education material to the students as per sessions. As the material was colorful and in big font so that students got attracted towords the Kit. As students were given with some homework they started telling about the session and kit to their home. Drawing - My Safe Home (preventing falling, fire etc.) kids did this with very dedicatedly and they explained it in a very excellent manner by way of drawing. Students were very good in finding the dangers of electrical instruments in the sheet. After pre-test, teachers conducted the post-test and the results were too good as there were growth in marks in post-test which was an indication that the sessions were successful and the information was properly reached to the students. They were able to absorb the knowledge given in these sessions. The Principal and Class teachers were so happy that students have started demanding more of such sessions to be conducted in the school frequently. |

We organized the workshop on Child sexual abuse at two Privet School for students of 5th to 7th Std. The Coordinator of Step up Foundation was conducted this workshop. She explained with CSA poster about what is child sexual abuse, to children. Then she also gave tips to children about how to handle that particular situation and to whom we can told about this problem. After that she told some precautions to children. 15th June 2015: School Transport Facility | In starting of June children enrolment process started from Construction sites to PMC Schools. Identity Foundation was exploring various options to ensure that children are able to reach school safe and well. Around 110 children have utilized the Buses so far at 3 Municipal schools in Lokmanya TIlak Primary School No.49, Ramwadi No.59, Pune and Kasturba Gandhi Primary school, Koregaon Park areas. This facility is running in 2 shifts. In these 2 shifts teachers teach to students. Now there is excellent co-operation between teachers and bus drivers. |

12th May 2015: Movies for Children |
The children were taken to movie hall to enjoy cinemas. The top 5 movies viewed by children, were “I am Kalam”, “Chirry Tale”, “Chote Miya”, “Ice Age”, and “Karamati Coat”. The cinemas were for children age 8-12 years and were of duration 1-1/2 hours. Children had much fun in this cinemas. On those days teacher took discussion session with the children about cinema. Teacher has taken children to the cinema in the bus. |

11th May 2015: Arvinda Gupta Toys with Experiment |
We organized the event of Arvind Gupta Toys at all Vastis. The children were shown scientific toys and what various experiments could be conducted. All toys were made from waste material, which are easily available. The children were explained what is scientific reason behind it & were also shown how we can make them from waste material. Students gave good response to all those toys They were also given some material like straw to make a PIPANI (Flute) out of it, also learn to make the Paper cap and make Bhingri out of Compact Disk. 7th May 2015: Khelghar for Children |
We conducted the Khelghar activity for children which they thoroughly enjoyed. The Khelghar has lot of playing instruments so children have much fun in this activity. Our teacher had conducted Khelghar activity in the Bus. Due to various new games, puzzles, other toys children got new experience in the Bus. Outdoor game were conducted in nearby Vasti like ‘Wara Sutla Vadal Zale’, ’Dori udi’, cat & mouse, throw ball in bucket, musical chairs, etc. . In this Khelgher activity children enjoyed more than any other picnic. |

29th April 2015: Exposure Visit to Railway Station |
Identity foundation had organized a visit of Shivaji Nagar railway Station for the children. From this visit children got lot of information about the railway station. The children were asking various questions of the working of railway station and were very eager to know about the railway engine, station & passengers travelling etc. The children were very excited and happy after the visit. |

29th April 2015: Exposure visit to Post Office |
We took permission of Shivaji Nagar Post office for children exposure visit to their post office. On that day teacher took a discussion session with the children about Post office. The Post Man and Post Master gave information about the postal service to the children. The Children were showed around the post office where they got to see various services like selling of post tickets, post cards, International letters, courier session, Speed Post, Post letter Box etc. From this visit children got lot of information about the Post Office. |

25th April 2015: "Pune Darshan" Trip |
We arranged a trip of Pune Darshan. In this city tour the children get to visit several places of interest in Pune city like Kesari Wada, Vishrambaug Wada, Shaniwar Wada, Parvati Hill and Temples, Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Chaturshrungi Temple, Aga Khan Palace, Empress Garden, Snake Park, and Pataleshwar Cave Temple. Students enjoyed this trip as they got to visit interesting places, see animals and get important information about the city. |

25th April 2015: Trip to Empress Garden |
We arranged a trip to Empress Garden. It is a vast garden containing several varieties of trees having fruits and flowers. Named after the Queen of Victoria this garden was often used by the British soldiers as a recreational spot. The garden is a major source of entertainment and greenery. Children first did some bird watching and then roamed around the garden. They also played Slider, jungle gym, see-saw, swing, etc. in the playing area. After playing the children relaxed on the lawns and enjoyed the experience. |

23rd April 2015: Exposure Visit at in :Abhiruchi" Mall |
Identity foundation organized a mall visit of our support class’s children. The children got to see the interior of a mall with its various shops, escalators, and all types of people who were coming for shopping. Then the children visited various shops like the bag house selling various type of bags, jewelry shop, supermarket selling food grains, vegetable, and fruit market, etc. Children come to know what type of shops, material, and goods can be brought in the mall. The children asked various questions to the shopkeepers and were given more information about the Mall. The Mall had also organized Gammat Jatra for children having railway museum, magician games, fun games, etc. The children were very happy to visit the mall. |

23rd April 2015: Visit to "Katraj" Milk Dairy | We visited Katraj Milk Dairy, to know more about how the dairy functions. The main plant of Katraj milk dairy is equipped with modern pasteurizer, homogenizer, cream separator, butter processing machines. It is also equipped with automatic packing of milk and milk products and other quality testing devices as well as equipped labs. We also saw how milk is processed along with other milk products. Children enjoyed the visit. |

16th April 2015: Fire Brigade Exhibition |
We visited a fire brigade equipment exhibition in Lohiya garden. Fire Department is a public or private organization that provides predominantly emergency firefighting and rescue services for a certain jurisdiction. In the exhibition various models of the fire equipment were displayed with their names. The Fire Man gave the basic information about the models and additional information about fire safety. The children were asking various questions and they were very eager to know more about the Fire Brigade. The children enjoyed their visit very much. |

11th Mar 2015: Arvinda Gupta Toys with Experiment |
We organized the event of Arvind Gupta Toys at all school. We invited to Ashok Rupaner of IUCAA (Arvind Gupta Toys) and Swati Bhujbal. They had taken various experiments related to scientific toys. All toys were made from waste material, which are easily available. First of all they had shown all toys to children and then explained the scientific reason behind that toys and finally they had shown the children how they can make it from waste material. Bhoi Pratishthan organized the Rang Barase program for underprivileged children. This program is conducted on the occasion of Rangpanchami. Our children of Devkar Vasti participated in this program. On that day Rang Barase program was started with flowers shower. Then various type of dry & chemical free color was used to play Holi. They provided snacks & Lunch to these children. All children enjoyed a lot. |

13th Jan 2015: Kite Flying Competition by Tieto |
On the Occasion of Makar Sankrant, Tieto had organized a Kite Flying Competition. On that that occasion more than 60 Volunteer of Tieto had fun flying kites with our children. Children were divided into groups consisting of 2 volunteer & 2 children in each group. Our student Suersh Bhajantri won the competition among all volunteer & children. After that the students and volunteers also played various games like- Lagori, Langadi, Kabbaddi, etc. At the end prizes were given to winners and there was distribution of Teaching kit & Tilgul to all children. The children enjoyed this occasion very much. |

A Christmas Party was organized by Lokmat Pvt. Ltd., a Marathi newspaper in Pune. For this event they had invited our children. Our Support class children attended this Party. In the party there were some fun games with children. The Lokmat Parivar also gave Sport shoes to all children. The arrival of Santa Clause was great fun for the children as they had fun with him and Santa also gifted various gift, snacks to the all children. The Student visited Science express. Science express is a biodiversity special exhibition Train consisting of 11 coaches where people walk through viewing the exhibits and taking part in various activities. Students took this opportunity to view exhibits on Indian biodiversity and took part in learning activities. The volunteers on this train exhibition explained information to the children. This Biodiversity express was inaugurated by our Devkar Vasti’s children, Bhavana Takkalaki and Devraj Pujari along with other guests. Anusayabai Khilare School, No.55G visited Baneshwar temple and also played in the garden there. After that there was star gazing activity at Patehe farm. Identity foundation and Arc organized the Manoranjan stall & show for children at Gandhi Bhavan. There were stalls like- Magic painting, puppet show, book stall, song & activity by Magic bus, Warlie painting on greeting, Art & craft, Snake & ladder, Pot maker, Garbage management, Information on community center, Hand wash etc. for the children to enjoy and learn. We have taken the children for a potter visit. The potter gave information to children about the process of making the pots from mud. There children remembered previous visit of potter where he had made various things from mud on wheel. Children asked questions like- how to make these things pacca, how you deciding the prices of the all pots, how much profit you get from this, are you giving the training for making the pots? The potter gave all appropriate answer & information to the children. |

29th Oct 2014: Visit at Petrol Pump |
There is need to know the life skills for children. So we are conducting various exposures visit to different spots which are related to daily life. One such visit we organized to Bharat petrol pump near RTO. At the petrol pump, the salesman gave information to children such as how to set liter measurement in the pumping machine along with the amount. Then children asked various questions to the salesman like: How we can change the amount according to change in market rates, where the storage petrol tank of the machine is, how you come to know that petrol will finish from the tank & how you will refill it. All the answers were given by the salesman very sincerely & in detail. Thanks for Bharat petrol pump. |

Identity Foundation conducted a visit to floweriest to gather information related to his work. The floweriest showed how to make the flower bouquets. He also introduces us to the various flowers names, their smell, available colors, every flower life etc. Children asked some questions like where you got this training, and from where you brought the flowers. After that the floweriest gifted flowers to our all children. |

We conducted a visit to Agakhana Palace of our children. Agakhana palace is now turned into a museum of Mahatma Gandhi. There the children saw and learned various things related to Mahatma Gandhi like- Bapuji’s & Kasturba’s statue, Kasturba’s Samadhi, chappals, charakha, & other things used by Gandhji etc. Additional information was given by teachers about Mahatma Gandhi & Kasturba Gandhi. Our Prime minster started ‘Swach Bharat Abiyan’ & also known as ‘Swach Shala (Vidyalay) Abhiman’ at school level. So our organization participated in this Abhiyan with the help of TMF Volunteer . In this programme our book fairy gave information about what is Swachata Abhiyan and how we can participate in it. She also was gave information about the advantages of cleanliness and disadvantages of dirtiness. After that she showed the ‘Hand Wash’ activity by using turmeric. Finally we are gave the ‘Swachata’ theme to children for drawing. Group Discussion on ‘Save the water’ |
Now a day we are facing water problems, and to increase awareness among the children about this we organized group discussion on ‘Save the water’. First we gathered all the children of Devkar Vasti, Chunkhadi Vasahat, and Devkar Vasti at Indradhanushya Hall. There we showed some videos on Save WATER, discussed how water scarcity is a serious issue and informed children not to waste water. We also showed cuttings from newspaper related to water and discussion with children what they understood about it and to think on that. The teacher also gave information about available water resources, our water needs today, how we can save the water, and if we do not take any action on this then what will happen in the future. Workshop on Child Sexual abuse |
We organized a workshop on Child sexual abuse at Chunkhadi vasahat, Savitribai Phule Vasahat and Rajasthani Vasahat. The Coordinator of ARC conducted this workshop. She explained with CSA poster to children and parents what child sexual abuse is. Then she also gave tips to children about how to handle that particular situation and to whom we can tell about this problem. She also told about what precautions children and parents should take. After all this discussion we called up CHILD LINE & asked them to give information about their help line & how they can help children. In this workshop some latest example of Child sexual abuse were discussed. After this workshop our teachers observed that parents have become more careful towards their children. Our book fairies are giving information and history of every festival celebrated. Due to this activities we are supposed to increase the religious equality among all children. We plan a special activity or event for children during these festivals where the children enjoy and participate enthusiastically.

Making Greeting Card |

Diwali Ank Activities |
Diwali Ank is special book activity for children from Class 1st standard to 4th standard. This activity is for giving space to children to think on various informal things, general knowledge and information which are not related to their class study syllabus.

Making Flag |
Children celebrate Independence Day by making their own Flag. We also planned a special activity or event for children on that day. Children enjoyed and participated in all these activities enthusiastically.

Making Teaching Aids |
Children participate in creating teaching aids such as Akshar Card, KharPati of all alphabets, Chintu Worksheet, etc. Book fairies make use of all these teaching aids in the 21 schools they visit during program implementation.

Vidyarthi Koutuk Sohala |
An essay competition was arranged for teachers. They were given 4 subjects to choose from related to reading method. Teachers from all schools participated as well as some teachersfrom Identity Foundation also. The participants were given certificate & books at the end of the competition.

Teachers Essay competition |
To appreciate student's participation in various activities throughout the year, we organized "VidyarthiKoutukSohala". On that day book fairies showed the drama "Nako re baba GanitvishayachChangala" on importance of Math subject, & puppet show on butterfly. When the importance of this drama was understood by students, students from class 3rd and 4thdecided to spread its massage to other children & parents. So with the help of book fairies they enacted this drama in their annual gathering. Total No. of students: 1961

Sakal Bal Mitra(Marathi Newspaper in Pune) |
BalMitra is special activity pages for children included prewriting stages in these pages like coloring, drawing, pairs matching, words &sentence game and included various language games. Sakal provides 150 Balmitraevery Monday. Children enjoyed & participated in all these activities enthusiastically. Thank you Sakal publication team for their excellent support!!

Science Park Visit |
All our students took keen interest in the 3D show and various exhibition, games, experiments, models related to science & automobiles.When we organized this visit to Science Park & 3D show, the response of students was awesome. Students shared their opinions to our book Fairies that they never imagine the things related to science, automobile, energy, climate change & especially 3D show like they had seen in the science park.

Yashwantrao Chavan Udyan |
We arranged trips to Yashwantrao Chavan Udyan, including seven Wonder Garden and 4 theatershows. Students really enjoyed during this visit especially 4D show which they had never seen before seen in the Seven Wonder Garden.
